On July 22, 2026, the International Yachting Fellowship of Rotarians (IYFR) – Philippine Fleet held its much-awaited Turnover and Induction Ceremony for RY 2026-2027 at Tipsy Pig Timog, Quezon City. The RCCW Fleet actively participated and represented RCCW with pride.
Turnover of Command: Outgoing IYFR Commodore officially turned over the helm, wheel, and leadership to the Incoming Commodore for RY 2026-2027, following maritime Rotary tradition.
Induction of New Fleet Officers & Members: New bridge officers and new IYFR members were inducted, wearing nautical-inspired Rotary attire, pledging commitment to fellowship and service through yachting.
RCCW Fleet Recognition: RC Cubao West Fleet was recognized as one of the active fleets in District 3780, with strong attendance and active participation in IYFR activities.
Fellowship Theme: The event highlighted IYFR’s mission – promoting international understanding through yachting, while supporting Rotary service, especially in maritime safety, coastal clean-up, and disaster relief.
Dinner Fellowship: The night was filled with camaraderie, stories, and planning for future IYFR service projects.
RCCW PARTICIPATION: RCCW members who are part of IYFR Philippine Fleet attended in full support, showing that RCCW is not only active in traditional Rotary, but also in Rotary Fellowships.
Active networking with other Rotarians from different clubs and fleets, opening opportunities for joint projects like Coastal Clean-up, Mangrove Planting, and Oplan Ligtas Kalusugan relief operations.
IMPACT & BENEFITS TO RCCW: Vibrant Club Indicator: Active participation in IYFR counts as part of Rotary Fellowship — a strong point for Vibrant Club Award during Governor’s Visit.
Membership Engagement: Members enjoyed fellowship beyond regular meetings, strengthening retention and bonding — a true Family of Rotary.
Service Opportunities: Through IYFR, RCCW can join nautical-related service projects (coastal communities, fisherfolk livelihood, sea safety), expanding our Seven Areas of Focus.
Public Image Boost: RCCW Fleet presence at Tipsy Pig Timog showed that RCCW members are active, fun, and service-oriented — a club where fellowship and service go together.
The IYFR Turnover and Induction was not just about yachts — it was about friendship, fellowship, and service beyond borders. The strong presence of RC Cubao West Fleet proves that RCCW is a truly vibrant and engaged club, living the Rotary motto: Fellowship Through Service, Service Through Fellowship.
