Vibrant Club Leadership Training

Category: Leadership & Fellowship Date Published: Author: Portia Mendoza

On August 1, 2026, five dedicated  BOD of the Rotary Club of Cubao West actively participated in the Vibrant Club Leadership Training organized by Rotary Philippines. Though small in number, our delegation brought home big learnings for The Legacy Year.

WHAT WE LEARNED: The 5 Traits of a Vibrant Club: Active membership, innovative service projects, strong public image, and strong Rotary Foundation support.

Membership is Life: How to recruit, retain, and re-engage members – especially young professionals and women leaders.

Leadership is Service: The role of BODs as servant leaders, not just title holders.

From Activity to Impact: How to make every project sustainable and measurable for community impact.

Public Image Matters: Using Facebook, storytelling, and branding to attract partners.

MEMBERSHIP PARTICIPATION: Our 5 attendees represented RCCW with pride and active participation in workshops and group discussions. They asked questions, shared RCCW best practices (like our 72+ District Induction attendance), and networked with other clubs for future joint projects.

This shows that even if only 5 attended, RCCW invests in learning – we don’t just serve, we prepare to serve better.

IMPACT TO RCCW:Immediate Application: Learnings were cascaded to all BODs during our club meeting – resulting in our current projects: Mother & Child (Yakap ni Nanay), End Polio Awareness, and Oplan Ligtas Kalusugan.

Stronger BOD: Our 5 attendees are now more confident to chair projects for they RY 2026-2027

Vibrant Club Roadmap: We adopted the Vibrant Club Scorecard – targeting: increase membership, conduct 1 project per Area of Focus, and strengthen public image before Governor’s Visit.

Legacy Leadership: President Portia ensured that learnings from this training will be documented and passed on to next year’s leaders – true Legacy Year.

CONCLUSION:The Vibrant Club Training reminded us: A vibrant club is not built by the President alone, but by trained, committed leaders. Our 5 attendees are now the core drivers of RCCW’s Legacy Year, ensuring that when the Governor visits on October 22, we can proudly say: RCCW is a Vibrant, Active, and Legacy Club.
